Skiing Tricks - 360 Tail Grab

A 360 Tail Grab is all about touching the tail of one Ski while turning 360 degrees in the air. Obviously, you should master the Tail Grab and the 360 turn first before doing this trick. In this section, learn how to perform a 360 Tail Grab with our easy-to-follow steps. Our animation can show you what this trick exactly is.

STEP 1: To start off, ski at moderate speed and approach the lip of the jump.

STEP 2: Know which direction you want to turn. As you reach the lip, initiate the spin by moving your head and shoulders towards the direction of the turn. The rest of your body will follow.

STEP 3: After the first half of the turn, bend your knees, cross your Skis, and grab the tail of one Ski.

STEP 4: Release your hold on the tail and finish the turn.

STEP 5: Position your Skis parallel to each other and prepare for the landing.

STEP 6: Make a smooth landing and then ride away.

This is the 360 Tail Grab. It can have a lot of variations, depending on your ability and style. Take note that you should brush up your 360 and Tail Grab prior to trying the 360 Tail Grab.
