Ski Schools - The Different Types of Ski Schools

Ski Schools - Types of Ski Schools Know the Type of Ski School or Ski Class appropriate to your age. For instance, there are Ski Schools for children, teenagers, and special programs for senior citizens. In addition, there are special Ski Classes for women and for people with physical disabilities.

Children's Ski School

Young ones who are three or four to twelve years old are admitted in Ski Schools for children. Instructors are trained enough to know about the short attention span and the ability of children in Skiing so various tactics such as themed terrain gardens, games on Snow, and follow-the-leader type of teaching are done to entertain children and at the same time to teach the basics of Skiing in a fun way. For instance, children have an enjoyable time in themed terrain gardens while they learn the different basic moves.

Teen Classes

Most Teen Classes are intended for adolescents who are 13-17 years old. Some Ski lessons for teenagers are held only during the school holidays. More often than not, Teen Classes have instructors who are relatively young and strong who focus more on Skiing moves rather than more discussion on the technical aspects of Skiing.

Special Programs for Senior Citizens

In general, Skiing is for all ages. Seniors can also learn and enjoy Skiing through special programs designed specifically for people who do not have the same endurance as that of the youth.

All-female Ski Classes

Most women learn Skiing more comfortably if they are in an all-woman Ski Class with a woman teaching them. This is for the reason that women have this tendency of giving support to each other. Women also have their own way of dealing with fear when learning how to Ski.

Adaptive Ski Schools

Who says you cannot Ski if you have physical disabilities? Handicapped people can also experience the joys of Skiing just like people who are not disabled. This is made possible by the adaptive Skiing Equipment, instruction programs, and special teaching techniques.

Generally speaking, age is one of the factors taken into account in deciding what Ski School or Ski Class is appropriate for skiers. Know which type is right for you before signing up to any Ski School or class.
