Elan RCG Waveflex Junior Race Skis with ER 11.0 FF Plus Bindings 2012 - The RCG Waveflex is the future of ski racing, actually the RCG is FOR the future of racing. Built for all the up an comers in the race world the RCG Waveflex is not some wimpy junior ski with a look like graphic, it is every bit a race ski. Sharing all the same technology as its big brothers the RCG Waveflex uses a full RST Sidewall, Response Frame wood core, and in the larger sizes even has dual titanium layers, it just comes in an appropriate flex for the young speedster. To further prove itself the RCG uses Elan's Waveflex technology making it unbelievably stiff side to side to offer the best in edge hold and quickness, but does not effect the tip to tail flex of the ski allowing for this precision without the end result being a ski too stiff for a junior to flex. For extra power and precision all models will come with a race specific plate, the X-plate for 160cm and smaller, the Duo Plate for 168cm and larger. The Duo plate is slightly stiffer for added support in the larger sizes. While the RCG Waveflex is J3 Approved, making it a wonderful option for young racers the larger sizes make it a good choice for smaller high school racers or anyone up to 150 pounds that does not need to remain within FIS regulations.
