Dalbello Virus Tour I.D. Ski Boots - The brainchild of skiing legend Glen Plake, the V.I.R.U.S. Tour I.D. was developed to push the new wave of alpine touring skiers. By starting with chassis known for it's downhill performance the Cabrio served as the perfect platform to overhaul. The natural low hinge point of the Cabrio shape made for the easy addition of a ski walk mechanism, but not just any ski/walk set up will work for the rigors of touring. A twin hinge system was developed where the rear of the boot unlocks with a section of the tongue, this allows for a greatly increased range of mobility equating to easier, larger steps. A Vibram sole with Quadrablock pylons make add to the easier walking nature of the Tour and along with the addition of alloy Tech inserts it is compatible with any touring binding. While the Tour may not be the lightest weight boot out there, 1825 grams per boot, it manages to retain the downhill prowess that the Cabrio shells are known for. Dual Dynalink makes sure your heel will stay firmly planted no matter the speed or terrain and the medium flex tongue offers the power and control because there is no point climbing if the ride down is no fun. Tested all over the globe from moguls to Alaskan powder the Tour will be there to make the trek up easy and the ride down epic.
