Tecnica developed their Attiva line to answer the fit and performance concerns that affect women skiers who want a responsive ski boot that they can wear longer than most of the ultra-rigid racing designs out there. The Attiva Spark features the same Tecnica Twin Support System along the upper cuff that's available on all of Tecnica's top-end performance boots. The Twin Support System has extended upper flaps that help distribute lateral pressure, creating a closer closure around your shin. Unlike unisex boots, the Attiva designs are highly female-specific with a scalloped calf profile that keeps the fit comfortable even when you have the new Alu buckles dialed in all the way on the triple-position catches. This season Tecnica added a new seamless neoprene toe box with extra insulating Primaloft that's exclusive to women's ski boots. There's also a female-specific heel cradle that acts as a snap-in wedge on the boot board. If you have concerns with keeping your hips forward, snap in the 2.5-mm. wedge. If it's not an issue, keep it out. The Attiva Rear Spoiler has a Velcro attachment so you can make simple modifications or take the thing out. We're always impressed by Tecnica boots and the fact that the company plays down the customization options on the SuperFit liner boots, but this design still offers more adjustments and modification potential than most ski boots on the market.
