The Spyder Tarantula Ski Pants are insulated ski pants with high back suspenders and a back flap. These top-of-the-line pants have full side zippers so you can take them on and off with boots on and open them for ventilation. These pants have two zippered pockets one with a key holder clasp inside the pocket. There are inner snow cuffs with an elastic band. If you need help with sizes, please see the Spyder Sizing Charts. Entrant GII provides a revolutionary interactive 3-layer coating structure. Each layer functions seperately to dynamically balance waterproofness and breathability performance while preventing condensation. The result is pure comfort. Spylon is a durable water repellent finish (DWR) applied to the fabric exterior to prevent the garment from absorbing surface moisture. Spylon is a top-rated performer retaining 80% effectiveness after 20 washings. It also guards against water and oil-based stains. The legs are insulatyed with Thinsulate Insulation 40gm. Thinsulate insulation is constructed of unique micro fibers, about ten-times smaller than in other synthetics. These efficiently trap insulating air, reflect radiant body heat and deliver warmth two-times greater than down and other polyester insulations when equal thicknesses are compared. The Scuff Guards are schoeller-dynatec, a rugged, protective fabric used in scuff guards, schoeller-dynatec is a high tenacity nylon 2.5 times stronger than Cordura. Its tear resistant, skid proof and impervious to temperature.
