The company began in 1950 when Franco Boeri, a well known and highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon in Milan, took it upon himself to create a protective bicycle helmet for his younger brother Alessandro. It was an immediate success and shortly the brothers started to manufacture and sell these helmets. Market demands soon increased, and the Boeri brothers widened their production to include safety helmets for skiers, motorcyclists, rock climbers and race car drivers. They were primarily concerned with safety and comfortable fit, and invested heavily in these areas. In just a few years the firm grew and prospered in the European community.Since 1989 U.S. wintersport enthusiasts have turned to Boeri for their protective headgear needs. Our innovative designs, world renouned quality, great off-the-shelf fit and wide assortment of colors and styles are a few of the reasons we proudly remain the leader in wintersport helmets.
