Winter has long been an active season in the Woodstock area. In 1910, the Woodstock Inn opened a Winter Sports Center complete with a 1,000-foot, torch-lit toboggan run, sledding, snowshoeing, and skiing. The following year, a ski jump was added. The Center maintains two separate trail systems for a total of 60 kilometers of trails along the snow-covered golf course and through carriage roads.
