Ski Cooper

Ski Cooper is nestled in between Colorado's two highest peaks, Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive, allowing it some of the most beautiful views in the state. Ski Cooper has much more to offer than beauty. It is known for its small town charm. With the lowest ticket prices in Colorado and an award winning ski school, Ski Cooper is an excellent location for affordable family fun. Ski Cooper offers very low prices on rental equipment, lesson packages, meals, and daycare as well.

Chicago Ridge is located at Ski Cooper. This unique snow cat tour provides visitors 2400 acres of backcountry terrain to explore in one full day on the mountain including a hot meal served on the mountain.

Ski Cooper was also the location of The Tenth Mountain Division training during World War II. Members of the Tenth Mountain Division return to Ski Cooper for a celebration each year.

 
Trails and Routes

General:

Ski Cooper is one of Colorado's best kept secrets, with very diverse terrain. The mountain offers approximately 30% beginner terrain, 40% intermediate terrain; and 30% advanced terrain. The slopes are wide and uncrowded with short lift lines. In addition, Ski Cooper has a progressive terrain park for skiers and boarders alike. Chicago Ridge Backcountry Tours is located at Ski Cooper as well. This tour offers guests a truly unforgettable experience including a full day of backcountry skiing or boarding on 2,460 acres of untracked powder and treed slopes. For Reservations please call 1-800-707-6114. Ski Cooper's Nordic Center offers cross-country, telemarking, and snowshoeing on 25 km of trails which are groomed and well kept throughout the season.
