Aspen Alpine Guides, Inc.
Fall is here, there is snow on the high peaks and it is time to start thinking about ski tours, hut trips and avalanche classes.
Meet the Professionals at Aspen Alpine Guides:
Ron Rash-Lead guide with all of our programs. Ron moved to Aspen from Steamboat Springs Colorado in 1985. He has taught telemark and downhill skiing at Aspen Highlands for 10 years. Ron has been a guiding for 12 years. When not guiding for Aspen Alpine Guides he teaches courses for the National Outdoor Leadership School as a senior instructor teaching instructor, rock climbing, and winter courses. Ron also teaches avalanche courses with Colorado Mountain College. When not showing others the wonderful mountain environment of Colorado Ron spends his time with his wife and 6 year old daughter playing in the mountains.
Richard Rosenfeld-Ski Guide in all disciplines. Richard has lived in the Aspen area since the mid eighties. He has taught alpine and telemark skiing with the Aspen Skiing Company and later with the National Outdoor Leadership School. Richard also teaches a complete winter camping curriculum if you prefer Quinzhees and Igloos to huts. In the summer season Richard leads Outdoor Educator and Backpacking courses. When not working you can find him on his mountain or road bike, someplace between Aspen and Tuscany.
David Polovin-Leads Hiking, orienteering courses, rock climbing classes, Snowshoe, and Cross country skiing, along with our hut trips. David moved to Aspen in 1985 to start Timberline Mountain Bike Tours. After 16 seasons of owning, operating the business, and guiding bike tours around the West, he recently sold the business. During the winter season for the past 15 years he has been a Professional Ski Instructors of America certified Nordic instructor/tour leader, teaching cross-country skiing, and leading day ski and snowshoe tours in the Aspen area. David is also an instructor for the Colorado Mountain College Outdoor Education Department teaching courses and leading mountain bike and hiking tours in Colorado and Utah. Most of his free time is spent biking, hiking and skiing the mountains around Aspen, and as an active member of Aspen Mountain Rescue. Dave loves the mountains, and enjoys exposing Aspen visitors to our beautiful natural environment.
