Cross-country Skiing  Montecito Sequoia grooming fleet grooms a network of over 83km of trails. Cross Country Skiing is Montecito Sequoia's main attraction sports. Our cross country ski trails begin right from the steps of the Sequoia Lodge. Between 50km & 80km of trails are regularly groomed, for both classic and skate skiing. Our diverse terrain attracts all levels of skiers, from the first timer to the serious athlete. Our trails lead you through pine an fir forests and into open spectacular vistas of the Sierra Nevada Great Western Divide and Sequoia Kings Canyon backcountry. Enjoy the thrill of cross country skiing while discovering the peace and beauty of the Giant Sequoia National Monument. Adults can enjoy exhilarating skiing while we offer activities with their children.Skiing  Skiers of all abilities are discovering this new area, home to wide open meadows and spectacular views in all directions. Our newly installed bridge allows skiing & snowshoeing guests to access these new trails without driving.
Our trail system also includes three Warming Huts offering trailside hot beverage breaks. The warming huts are located around 3, 4 & 5 miles from the lodge. Fix yourself hot tea, a snack, and enjoy the scenery as you relax in the cozy atmosphere of our Warming Huts.
Snowboarding  Our proximity to the open bowls of Sequoia National Forest places us in an ideal location for backcountry snowboard trips. Snowboards are available from the ski shop. Beginning snowboarders will find groomed practice hills closer the the Sequoia Lodge. While backcountry slopes, hills & newly added terrain parks are perfect for those seeking the extreme ride.Snowmobiling  Groomed Trails for Snowmobilers. The forest service has marked and mapped snowmobil trials in big Meadows. Snowmobilers have their own trails, sometimes parallel to ski trails, backcountry and trials that separte fromthe skiers and snowshoers. Trails lead from Montecito Sequoia Lodge via the Woodward Creek bridge for overnight stays.Snowshoeing  Our ski shop has snowshoe rentals for all ages and sizes. Daily, Montecito Sequoia's Ski School Natuarlist Guide leads groups on an interpretive tour through spectacular backcountry to magnificent vistas. No previous snowhoing experience needed to enjoy thi wonderful sport.Snowtubing  Snowtubing a sport for all ages. Tubing chutes and sledding runs guaranteeing a thrill for all. There's a T-bar pull to get you back up the hill and head down again!
