Heli Skiing in BC Canada - Exploration > Challenge > Adventure

When was the last time you logged a first descent? Pantheon Helisports’ half million acres of brand new heli skiing terrain is now ready to explore, complete with thousands of potential first descents. Located between Whistler and Bella Coola, British Columbia, the heli skiing terrain has been a favorite of professional skiers such as Warren Miller Productions for more than a decade. Now for the first time, this big mountain experience is open to those looking for an authentic challenge.

Higher Elevation > Huge Runs > Drier Snow > Better Weather
Of the 100 tallest peaks in BC’s Coast Mountains, 90 are in the Pantheon Helisports area. The higher elevation riding translates into very long runs (4,000 foot descents are common) and lower moisture content snow than at low-elevation ski areas. In addition, the lodge and terrain is on the east (lee) side of the Coast Mountains, so what you get is a powder experience that has more vertical, more dry snow and more bluebird skies.

Pantheon Helisports is based from the famed White Saddle Ranch, a 1,300-acre working cattle ranch on the edge of the coast wilderness that has been used by mountaineers and skiers as a base for incredible adventures for the past 40 years. The ranch’s comfortable cabins are located right next to the hand-carved log lodge, just steps from the helicopter hangar. Relax after a true day of exploration and challenge at an authentic working ranch set amidst world-class heli-skiing terrain that is yours to discover.

Additional: At Pantheon Helisports the food is very fresh: much of the produce comes straight from the ranch. All the bread and pastries are baked fresh each day. Meals are delicious and plentiful. Lunches are packed to order in the morning and eaten in the field. Our chefs accommodate all different kinds of diets

For those who stay behind at the ranch, we have many activities, including horse activities, fishing (crazy good), mountain biking and nature photography. Let us know what kinds of things are fun for you and we will make sure to have many good activities.

SCHEDULES & ITINERARIES

Guest arrive in Vancouver Friday night and stay at the Vancouver Fairmont Hotel. We would be there to meet you there about 6 o'clock for the Pantheon Helisports welcome party. Lots of fun ... Slide show, maps, snow reports, etc.

The next morning, we would board our charter plane at 8:30 AM for the short flight to the lodge, about 1 hour and ten minutes. From there, we are met at Anahim Lake by our shuttle vans, who drive us to the lodge (1 hour) , where we arrive just in time for lunch. After introductions to our staff and hosts we will then have a heli and safety orientation conducted by our guiding staff and hopefully we'll be skiing by 3 pm.

Ski Saturday thru Saturday (morning). We will leave the lodge about noon, drive to Anahim Lake, and and our charter flight gets us back to Vancouver about 3 pm. We highly recommend that you spend Saturday night at the Fairmont also, as this way if there are travel difficulties, you won't miss your flights home. We get a very special rate at the Fairmont. Just let us know what you want to do and we can set it all up.

If you want to do a few days in Whistler (how anticlimactic!) we can help you set that up too, as we get discounts at the Fairmont Whistler Chateau and other select accommodation companies.

Policies & Conditions

Booking Policies To Make a booking or Call Toll Free - Call, fax or write to our office; we will then forward a "Reservation Application and Request for Deposit" form to you. You will also be required to sign a Pantheon Helisports Heli-Ski Waiver before your application will be accepted. Please read carefully, sign and return. A 25% deposit for your ski week is due upon reservation. The remainder is due 90 days prior to your ski week. If you make your reservations within 90 days, the full balance is due when you make your reservation. If you must cancel, but you can find someone to fill your seat within 90 days of your ski week, then there is no charge to change the reservation. If it is within 90 days of your reservation and you have not found someone to take your seat, then we keep the deposit and that seat reopens. We will be happy to apply any lost deposits to future trips. Your best bet is to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance. It costs about 5% of your trip.
