Canada - BC Heliski Trip
Given our dedication to offering only the most unique and original trips, you may wonder why we’re offering a heli-ski trip in Canada. After all, Canada is full of heli-ski operators so why should this trip be any different? Well, it’s a fair question, but we think our operation is not only unique, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Picture this: a remote fishing village in Northern British Columbia. To its west are deep ocean fiords, filled with migrating orcas and other whales. To its east, rising up like sheer cliffs, are the huge peaks of the BC Coastal Range. Thanks to their proximity to the ocean, these peaks are laden with one of the deepest snow-packs in the world – six hundred hectares of fresh, deep, untouched powder waiting to be ridden. And who will ski it? Just thirty people per week! Thirty people to enjoy an area of terrain 200 times the size of Whistler-Blackcombe resort. Isn’t this a once in a lifetime opportunity? Compare this to a typical factory-style heli-ski operation that has upwards of 150 clients per week and must ‘farm’ (i.e. restrict clients to tight turns in order to conserve powder) their snow in order to make it last the season and you’ll see why our operation is unique. Not only do we have one of the deepest snow packs, one of the biggest skiable areas and the best client-to-terrain ratio, we also have the longest vertical of any heli or lift serviced run in North America!
Our guides are professional mountain guides with years of guiding experience and a passion for the mountains. They will guide you through the terrain most appropriate to your level and encourage you to push your limits. All are highly experienced in powder & backcountry riding and can provide you with the necessary tips to improve your powder riding. The guides are members of the ACM/UIAGM (Canadian and International Association of Mountain Guides) and/or the Canadian Ski Guides Association (CSGA) and have years of professional guiding experience in the Coast Range of British Columbia.

Our trip begins in Vancouver with a short flight to the Coast Range of British Columbia, one of the most rugged and inaccessible regions in BC. The 1 hour and 15 minute flight over the highest and most majestic peaks in BC will take you to a small local airport from where you’ll be driven to our accommodation. After checking in, lunch will be served and you’ll have the chance to meet your guides for the week. Following this will be an information session that includes snow and weather reports, safety orientation and avalanche transceiver training. The next day starts with an early breakfast and you’ll then be introduced to our heli pilot who’ll provide you with a helicopter safety talk. After that it’s time to board the heli and hit the powder! After a morning of pristine powder runs we’ll break for lunch in the mountains, and then we’ll hit the powder again for a full afternoon of lifts. After a big day in the mountains you’ll be dropped off at the door of your accommodation and you’ll then be free to enjoy dinner, a drink and some well earned rest. This is the basic schedule for your time with us. We offer packages of 4 days, 5 days, 6 days and 8 days (including arrival and departure days), so you can tailor your trip to your budget and your available time.
