London's Ice Cool Freeze Festival 2010

TUESDAY, 28 SEPTEMBER 2010

LONDON, ENGLAND -- There will be plenty of top-notch sporting action and internationally-renowned musical talent on show at London's Freeze Festival this year from October 29th to 31st.

It is the third year in a row that guests at the fine hotels London has to offer have been able to enjoy this high-octane event.

Travellers who love skiing and snowboarding will be in their element, as there will be plenty of world-class athletes competing against each other, with the LG London Big Air Event providing one of the main highlights.

As part of the FIS Snowboard World Cup, it will see some of the most recognisable names in the sport battle it out on a 17-metre jump made from real snow.

"See the world's best skiers and snowboarders in action on the banks of the River Thames as Battersea Power Station is transformed into a real life ski resort," remarked the organisers.

This means there will not only be plenty of apres-ski entertainment in the shape of musical heroes such as Roni Size and Hadouken!, there will also be bars, ski shops and a whole host of like-minded winter sports fans enjoying themselves.

A Halloween-themed night is on the cards on the Saturday, with Mark Ronson among the performers to enjoy.

Tickets for Freeze Festival start from GBP22.50 for an adult or GBP18.25 for a child. The main arena will be open from 12:00 until 22:30 BST.

For more information on this event visit the Freeze Festival website or contact the venue on +44 (0)20 7348 5200.
