Sunday, 30 November 2008Enchanted Holidays Limited has taken the decision to sponsor Team GB Telemark team for the 2008/2009 winter season. From December 1st, 2008, the company is giving a financial support package to the UK National team.
On the back of its recent successful launch at the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show in London, the directors of Enchanted Holidays Limited, took the decision to wholly support Team GB in its efforts on the World Cup circuit, in Europe, this season. The company issued this statement ' We felt it was time to get behind TeamGB and help them on their way to the next winter Oympics. Until now, Team GB have had to finance everything from their own pockets for the privelege of representing their country'.
The team's captain, Andrew Clarke said' This is fantastic news, and we look forward to a fruitful relationship'.

Thursday, 27 November 2008Two weeks before the very special winter opening the weather gods provided a matching backdrop at the Kleinwalsertal. The snow has come, the artists are confirmed and the “art on snow” party program in the opening week from December 06th to 13th offers entertainment at its finest for the evenings.
The countdown has begun. In less than two weeks the idyllic situated winter sports resor t Riezlern is going to become a veritable Mekka for Board Rider Artists. The “art on snow” offers one week of vernissages by the most famous artists of the scene.
The main location of the “art on snow” is the casino, where the exhibition of the “seven artistic sins” by Rossignol will take place. Furthermore the young blood artist Eva Krusche will impress here with her art on used skatedecks and snowboards. But also some chosen photo-artists like Peter Körbler, Nico Galauch, Ralf Bernert and Klaus Polzer will show their sophisticated artistic works to the interested public.
A further hot spot of the “art on snow” is the restaurant “Beim Haller”, where a snowboard museum invites the public to a trip through 40 years of snowboarding history and where photographers like Sebastian Gogl, Stefan Eigner and Anthony Brey will present photo-art on a very high level. Those, who want to get an overview on all exhibiting artists, should visit the upper station of the Kanzelwandbahn, where one chosen work from every artist will be shown. The M&M Bar offers interesting artworks from the photographer Christian Stadler. Here one can handle the experiences made during the day while having a cold drink.
The Crystal Ground snowpark will be open for shredding throughout the whole week. Here, the photo-workshop – focussed on action photography – will take place, because there is no place where this art can be learned better than in the sportive epicentre of the Kleinwalsertal. A workshop for landscape photography in the spa gardens of Riezlern offers an insight into the calmer side of photo-art. For those, who prefer a brush in their hands instead of a camera, should take part in the painting workshop at the restaurant “Beim Haller”.
Now it comes to the already mentioned party program. On December, 06th the freeski movie “Aestivation” will be shown at the casino, before DJ Smart will make the Tanzbar shake with his new album “Turntablejibbing vol.2” and together with DJ Crypt as the “Famous Deck Team”.
On December, 11th the VICE documentation “Heavy Metal in Baghdad” will be exclusively screened at the newly opened “Rock Café Mühle” in Oberstdorf. On Friday evening, December, 12th the Hörbar in Oberstdorf will host the legendary VICE party. Rhythm Police and the internationally known DJ’s Moulinex and Paul Raal will provide a hilarious atmosphere and party till dawn.
The unique art exhibition in the Kleinwalsertal finds its end on Saturday evening with the presentation of the outstanding snowboarding movie “That’s it, that’s all” with the Quiksilver superstar Travis Rice at the casino. Afterwards DJ Craxx, accompanied by the VJ’s bydefault and nin.sha, will rock the “art of(f) party” with an audiovisual show at its finest.

"As people who have read my comments on Quebec in The Times and other publications before will know it is one of my favourite locations in the world in terms of investing in property. It is, quite simply, and as far as I'm concerned undoubtedly one of the few markets in the world where you can bank on an all year round rental income; my opinion on the reason for this is that it just has so much going for it, many things are of course shared by other places in Canada. Property Abroad has some excellent property in Canada, including 2 bed Canadian style chalet, on the Rouge River resort in the Laurentian Mountains. 100-miles of the fantastic trout-filled Rouge River runs through the resort, with a 100-mile bicycle track running along the banks. All owners are given full-rights to fish on the river. The woods weaving up the Laurentian Mountain range away from the river are excellent for exploring in the summer, and have cross-country ski-trails in winter. This perfectly complements the world-class alpine skiing of Mt Tremblant, which is just 45mins to an hour away from the resort -- Montreal can be reached in 90mins.
Rouge River resort's proximity to both these tourist attracting locations gives this unit another added benefit: the fact that it is being sold privately for a quick-sale at just 22,500, means that you can charge far less than Mt Tremblant or Montreal's rental rates, and still easily make 10-12% rental yields. Capital appreciation will be at least 30% immediately when the resort is complete (when all chalets are built), and average 10% per year in the foreseeable future.

It is history in the making and provides a glimpse of Nihon Harmony Resorts' dramatic broader development strategy for the Hanazono area. Finally, Niseko's perfect snow conditions now have a facility to match.
The inspiration for the design of Hanazono 308 is the soaring peak of Mount Niseko-Annupuri, at 1, 308 metres above sea level. The extensive use of natural materials throughout the facility ensures an affinity with the wonderful natural environment of Hanazono.
Hanazono 308 is in fact at 308 metres above sea level, or exactly 1,000 metres below the peak of Mount Niseko-Annupuri. The lucky bells of Hanazono 308 are mounted at exactly (to the centimetre) 308 metres above sea level.
That means exactly 1,000 vertical metres of non-stop pure, perfect powder, from the very top of Mount Niseko-Annupuri to the doorstep of Hanazono 308. It is an adventure that can only be found only on the most coveted side of Niseko mountain - the Hanazono side.
