Skiing Sensation Sarah Burke Joins Go211.com

Burke grew up in Midland, Ontario minutes from Horseshoe Valley, where she would go skiing after school. At the age of 15, she began competing in Moguls and traveled all over North America with the Ontario Ski Team. Two years later she transitioned to Freeride and soon started entering every contest she could worldwide competing against the guys!

Since then, Burke has won every major competition in both Superpipe and Slopestyle including X Games, US Open, World Ski Invitational, Japan Open, and the FIS World Championships. She is one of the athletes most responsible for advancing women's skiing and the sport's inclusion in X Games. Burke was also the recipient of this year's ESPY Award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete. Being the first female to land a 720, 900, and 1080 in competition, girls around the world look up to Burke as a trailblazer and trendsetter.
