Japanese Man Leads Ski & Snowboard Competition

It was an exciting and totally exhilarating Monday as the four freestyle skiing and snowboarding competitions in The Cadbury Moro Slopestyles Series took place in the Up and Go Terrain Park at The Remarkables. Daisuke Masuda of Japan took home the top award in the Open Men category. Mahi Mains of the Parklife team showed fantastic form to earn the top junior men position.
Top woman was Shelly Gotlieb of Ohakune with last year’s winner Callie Conaghan having to settle for second place. Queenstown’s Andrew Wylie was named first in the Open Men ski event while Parklife’s Matt Soundy took out the junior title.
A prize pool worth $3,000 NZD was shared among the winners.
