Utah Is In Another Record Ski Season
WEDNESDAY, 17 MAY 2006
Utah is once again on its way to having another record ski season, according to www.utah.com, the state’s official tourism site. This year’s skiing season has brought in more skiers than the past year, making it another record-breaking season for Utah’s skiing industry for three straight years already.
Quoting a report from Utah’s kutv.com, the tourism site said that, “In the 2005-2006 season, Utah’s 13 ski resorts had more than 4 million skier visits. That’s up more than 150,000 from the 2004-2005 season.”
The figures are still expected to grow since one ski resort, Snowbird, is still planning to operate well into the end of this month. According to the resort’s general manager Bob Bonar, it will be open, “at least through Memorial Day.”
