Suunto Skiing Gear 2007 - 2008 Overview
In 1936, Suunto’s founder invented the liquid-filled compass. Finnish troops used it to find their direction on ice, snow and in dense forests during World War II. Seventy years later, Suunto is the largest manufacturer of compasses and precision instruments used all around the world for accurate measurement in forestry, mining and surveying. Suunto is a world leader in precision sports instruments for diving, mountaineering, hiking, skiing, sailing, training and golf. The compass features a rotating bezel for traditional use, or a one-touch function that allows you to sight, lock and follow a bearing. And when you head into the surf, the Suunto Core shifts to Depth Meter, providing accurate depth readings to 10 meters.
