Ive been learning Italian and would love to go and use it in some stage, can anyone reommend a slope that is close enough to say major Italian city. I would like to spend sometime in the city before or after the holiday and have some practice then.

Livigno would be a good suggestion, Venice and Milan are both reachable there are also a duty free shopping there too. So you can get some cheap booze and help you with your confidence to speak Italiam.
