I'm learning to ski switch. I've got the whole transition thing down - you know, transferring the weight and whatnot, and getting to the point where I'm not really losing speed anymore.

That's all fine and dandy but I need to know more about controlling my turns, like which way I look and stagger my feet etc etc in order to STAY SWITCH...
Could somebody gimme the run-down? And of course if this is already posted somewhere, just tell me where to go!

haha yeah thanks dude, I've got the equipment albeit only recently which is why I'm asking.
No worries though folks. I think I am progressing quite well. I got some info off some other sites and have been practicing all day.
It's all about putting the outside foot back and looking over the outside shoulder. Once you get that, then yeah it's just the same as forwards I agree.
Next step, the switch rodeo 540 hahahahaa....

do you know about lead change with your feet?
just work on carving switch and putting your right foot back more when making left turns and looking over your right shoulder
and then switching and putting your left foot back for right turns looking over left shoulder
just work on turning with the inside edge and putting equal pressure on both feet

Thanks Austin, I will try to put more equal weight. I won't be out again until Saturday but I'll try to keep that in mind. So if you're out at Sunshine then, watch your back! lol

When ever I try, I always bend my knees and stay low so if anything happens I could bail or something
other wise it is just for more control

like...
k when your coming in switch just be really balanced and wait till your feet are on the lip of the jump to pop
and then the way your going to spin say you spin left
with your left foot your gonna turn your inside edge in a bit and with your right push the outer one in a bit
not to much but i dunno thats what i think about
really i think your just supposed to stay still and pop and then turn though lol
