I never been skiing in my whole life in fact I never seen a set of skis
apart from on tv. But plan to do it for some reason Ive agreed to go
skiing with my girlfriend whose been skiing when she was 8 and load of
his friends this year. Any basic tips would be greatly appreciated.
Just so I wont make a fool of both myself and my girlfriend on holiday.
Thanks in advance.

Be prepare to fall over alot in the first few days but the most
important thing is to keep getting up and the miles in you will
progress very quickly and that will be your best ever holiday:)

If at all possibe get a lesson at a dry slope or indoor snow slope
before you go for holiday. That means you get through the bits of early
learning to stand, walk, fall over. Which then means you are not
spending precious and expensive holiday minutes in a beginners class
learning to stand, walk, fall over etc....Half a dozen of lesson at a
dry slope and you should hit the snowy slope sufficiently mobile to
sign yourself into a plough swing class in the resort right away.

To stay warm and dry DO NOT WEAR BLUE JEANS...starting off I spent much time IN the snow and My attire was totally wrong...cotton coat+ jeans...I was soaked and miserable soon and almost gave up. Next time I wore polyester work pants and coat and stayed much dryier and happier. I soon invested in a waist length ski coat and apair of ski bibs. Staying warm and dry will allow one to stay and learn longer....ya gotta put your timme on the slopes . Hang in there
