Im just a novice skier wanted a brief tuturial in the following skills:
stopping- how do you stop fast and on a dime?
turning- how do you turn quickly and safely?
cross-country- how do you maximized your speed?

First off all I like your name and from your description you are novice Im assuming you have had some ski experience before. Let me know if Im on the right track give me an idea what you have done on ski so far and what you have done to turn and stop. At there i can give you a bit more to help before it gets going.
