Hi im just looking for a bit of advice/help. Im 27 and have been skiing for a few years now and have just got into Freestyle skiing so I swapped of my old skis and upgraded to a pair of K2 extremes....... all is going well and im having a blast but when im out I see 90% of the other freestyle skiers have there bindings smack bang in the middle ( 50%50 ) When I got my K2''s I was asked where I wanted them set and not knowing that much about it told them to do what was best for me and they set them back (maybe 30%70)
. Dose this make a big difference and is it worth getting my bindings reset in the middle ? any advice would be a big help.
OH and SORRY for the long Thread.

matters what your going for.

park skiers tend to have more of a center mount so they have more tail when landing switch and equal ski on each side to help with swing weight,

on most skis however even freestyle skis the mounting point is designed to be further back. so when you do mount it forward from the recommended point you do lose some edge control.

also the further forward you mount the worse they get for pow.

its up to you really and its preference. there are always inbetweens. i ski mostly park and like to have quite a bit of tail. i mount my skis 2cm back from center.
