Im interested to know how old most of you here start skiing? ( Im
wondering those who start earlier though turnout, fo the best, I start
skiing when I was 10). Which I guess pretty late compared to you.
Well for me I started skiing when I was 12 with the help of my brother.
I think its good to start at an early age so you wont embarrased as
much as you were falling. It also helps confidence when you are young.
will i started when i was 13, so 10 is pretty early. well it might have been 14 but you get the point. Although it was pretty embarassing having a 5 yr old ski past you when you fall lol

I'm at the other end of the spectrum! I started skiing two years agao when I turned 37, and I absolutely love it!!! I'm a solid blue trail skier and I'm hoping to try a black diamond next season.
Now when people complain about winter in the great Northeast, I'm the one that's going, it's a perfect day to ski. I think that LInda just started this past year and she's a bit older than me. Let's hear from you Linda!
That's why this site is great...different people with different abilities and different ages who all love to ski and board, sharing ideas, advice, and just general BS.

Can you imagine ,dory ,starting at such an early age like most of these younguns! I'm in my 50s ,and didn't start this flippin' obsession of ours till my mid 20s. What a ride its been. Most of my play is done in the midwest and its fun to chat with young ones who have yet to experience the Mountains. I enjoy wetting their appettite with length and severity of runs in the high country. That exposure blew me away...and I was hooked for life...

Well, I guess I started late in life... I was 39 when I started (3 1/2 years ago) but I made up for the late start, I am already skiing double blacks.
