Need a bit of advice - am taking my fiance's parents away skiing for a long weekend first weekend in March and need some pointers on best resort in French Alps to take them. I tend to stick to Northern Alps but Southern Alps is nearer where they live (near Montpelier) and we are going to drive there so need it to be short enough drive. They are in early 60's and pretty active, but want a resort which has minimum hassle re ski lifts and access to some good apres ski.

Looked at Isola which at 2000m should be sound enough for good snow and also looked at Flaine. Any advice on these two resorts or any other GREATLY appreciated,
