Myself, I'm all for Giro.

I'm currently skiing with a Giro G10, with the Tune-Ups II soundpads.

It works like a dream, and looks cool! It's lightweight, fits really well, so you hardly notice that it's on your head, and with its 3-position adjustable air-vents, you can take it from those freezing cold winter days, to the warm days of late season.

Definitely go with Giro. I have a Giro Omen and it's awesome.

For me the best helmet so far is Bern Berkeley Multisport Helmet. It was designed to complement your skateboard, bicycle, roller blades or skates.

Well if we're including other sports, I really like my Petzl Meteor III rock climbing helmet (and I hate wearing helmets). Light and comfortable enough to forget about.
