Hi everyone,

I''m looking at getting a new pair of skis sometime before this coming season, and could use some help deciding what to look for. I''ve only ever owned one pair of skis, and they''re about 185cm (I''m 6''0", about 140 lbs). I don''t know the waist/tip/tail measurements, but the skis are very straight.

I love skiing in powder, in the trees/off trail, and going as fast as possible on groomed stuff. Not a big fan of moguls, but I''ll take the occasional jump if I see one.

I think I''d like to get a pair that is shorter, lighter, and has a larger turn radius. Would any of those characteristics be bad for the type of skiing I like to do? Is there a certain range for those variables (or any others) that I should try to stick to?

Hopefully those aren''t vague/silly questions. I''ve been skiing for several years and consider myself advanced-intermediate (I can usually hold my own on double black diamonds), but I don''t really know much about the terminology or the different things to look for when buying skis.

Thanks for your help.
