I am looking at a set of twintips.....08 saloman foils.
I've been skiing on 190 straight skis my whole life, not sure how to size these.
6' tall, 155 lbs, Im no expert, but very advanced.
When I demo'd twintips in jacksonhole they gave me 174s, any recomendations on those or 182s?
Thanks for any input
cheers

You could go either way really. I'm about your height and would go for the 182s, on the other hand I used to like 200s when I had straight skis. If you had 190 straight skis you might want to go for the shorter ones.

Shorter is easier to turn, (on the ground or in the air) but less stable and less flotation in the powder.

Sorry to not give a definitive answer, but there isn't one really. I've had 169 Scratches, 182 Troublemakers and 179 K2 PEs. They all worked fine, but the Troublemakers were my favorites.

definitely 182, especially because the effective length of a twin is shorter than a regular ski because of the wasted length in the tail... do the 08 foils still have the foam core? if so id be hesitant about getting them (from experience!)
