Ski Zermatt, Switzerland
The towering Matterhorn, the absence of cars, and the resort’s great sense of tradition give Zermatt a special, alluring atmosphere. Old weathered farmhouses stand among modern hotels and buildings, creating a unique and picturesque view, no matter where you look. Zermatt sits at an elevation of 5,315 feet, at the end of a long valley surrounded by three major ski areas - the Sunnegga, Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn - with lifts reaching up to almost 13,000 feet. The entire area is favored by a southern exposure, is often sheltered from the wind, and is generously endowed with snow. More than 75 lifts provide access to over 150 miles of groomed runs, with a good blend of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain, as well as over 30 on-mountain restaurants and bars to enjoy. It is even possible to ski to Cervinia, Italy, for lunch!
Come join an All Mountain Vacation tour. We offer people who are in search of that just-right recreational mountain vacation a place to ski, cycle or hike in the world. We provide both independent and group summer and winter tours. All of our escorted groups are small and congenial and we welcome singles, couples and families while our independent tours gives everyone the leeway to go exactly where they want.
