Located just about in the center of the Pyrénées Mountains, 8 km from the French border, Formigal shares the same valley with Panticosa ski resort. The surrounding region of El Serrablo has pre-Romanesque sites, Mozarab and Catalán-Lombard churches. It has 24 lifts and 61 pistes.
