The quaint town of Megeve is one of the most picture perfect in the French Alps. The shopping and boutiques are world renown. The superb hotels and restaurants are not to be denied...especially the 4 star Michelin rated ones.
The ski runs are lovely non threatening for beginners and intermediates and can be challenging for experts, from the famous "Cote 2000" to Rochebrune, Mont Joux and Jolly to Chatrix and Mt. Arbois to Betex, Jaillet to Combloux and The Gietaz/Christomet. A very large majority of the ski runs are all cut through the trees, thereby making skiing possible in all types of weather which is most certainly not the case in most other well known French ski areas that find themselves above "tree line".
All of this provides skiers young and older to experience a winter wonderland of fun and long ski runs with all types of terrain from super beginner to expert and even very good "out of bounds" skiing. Over 400 Miles of slopes provides a playground for skiers of all ski levels; family groups will find their happiness in Megeve not to mention the friendliness of all of the Ski Area Personnel who are always willing to give a helping hand.
