Eric Perrin - Ski Instructor
Eric Perrin 18 years teaching and guiding experience both on and off-piste in the "espace Killy" in the heart of one of the most prestigious ski schools in France.
He will share with you his passion for discovering this exciting and challenging ski resort, reputed as one of the finest in the world and will also be happy to help you in finding accommodation and equipment.
Val d'Isere The small pre-war village of Val d'Isere has nowadays become a famous ski resort, part of the "espace Killy", one of the largest ski areas in the world.
And yet, at the top end of the Tarantaise valley, it has still managed to keep an authentic Savoyard feel with its ancient stone buildings and slate rooves supported by enormous larch beams.
You will explore the charms of the old village and the numerous small hamlets which surround it.
You will be transported around the ski area by rapid, modern, virtually queue-free lifts which means you spend a maximum of time on your skis.
There are many different types of accommodation available with warm interiors, decorated in wood and stone in keeping with the local style. Val d isere is known for its steep slopes, on and off piste. Good skiers will enjoy the huge ski area connected to Tignes.
From there you can also ski to La Plagne or les Arcs if you like adventure. Val d isere will organize the 2009 alpine skiing world championship.

PROGRESSION. Discover the "espace Killy", perfect your skiing and learn about modern techniques such as carving and turn on parabolic skis.
GETTING AWAY FROM IT ALL. The off-piste skiing area is enormous and varied regardless of your level. Tour du Charvet, Vallons de la Sache, couloir des pisteurs, Col Pers... You will be introduced to a whole new aspect of skiing.
OFF THE BEATEN TRACKS. Further abroad, there is a breathtakingly huge area. Here are some examples.
La Plagne via Champagny passing beneath the majestic "Face nord de la Grande Casse" and returning over the "Face nord de Bellecote".
Vallon de Rosuel via col de la Sachette or col du Pallet and rejoin "Les Arcs" area.
We can also visit the charming resort of Sainte-Foy and "Monal" and "Face nord de Fogliettaz" itineries.
Bonneval/Arc. This is an excellent off-piste run after a short walk. You can put tracks in all the way down to the "Hameau de l'Ecot". (return by hélicopter).
And finally, why not try heliskiing, just next door in Italy.
