Chalet D'amo
Chalet D’amo is located on the outskirts of Morzine, a picturesque mix of old traditional village and modern ski resort, the chalet is surrounded by mountains and forests. It is a traditional alpine lodge with accommodation set over 3 floors to accommodate up to 12 guests. Refurbished in September 2004 to include 3 ensuite bedrooms, the chalet has new wooden flooring on the ground floor and carpeting in the bedrooms. All bathrooms are new with stylish fittings and tiled flooring. The chalet has copious hot water from 4 electric water tanks and has thermostatically controlled heaters in each room.
On the ground floor there is a large dining room seating 12 -14 around a large communal table. The lounge area has a wood burner which keeps it cosy winter and summer and a TV with all Sky channels, DVD and CD player as well as a good selection of board games for entertainment. Outside there is a large secluded garden with views of pasture, mountains and forests. In the summer there is a barbeque area with table, sun loungers and hammocks. The chalet is non smoking.

Summer: A local expression in Morzine is that all it needs is beach to make it perfect during the summer! It has a wealth of activities such as the local lido with a Olympic sized swimming pool, children’s pool and water slides, a great place to relax. For the energetic Morzine is also a great base from which to take one of the numerous marked mountain bike or walking trails or why not let a horse or donkey do the hard work for you. For golf enthusiasts there are two mountain golf courses (9 and 18 holes), and water based sports such as rafting, canoeing or hydro speed, on the river and waterskiing on Lake Geneva (a 20 minute drive). There are also tennis courts and treetop adventure parks in the resort suitable for children and adults alike
During the winter the resort is a superb base from which to access the wonderful linked ski area of Portes du Soleil which has over 650 km of piste with a host of easy runs for beginners, encouraging reds of intermediates and challenging blacks and off piste of more advanced skiers and snowboarders. During the winter, we operate the chalet on a b&b or catered basis and offer additional services such as ski companions to show our guests around the pistes, equipment hire and lessons. A major high light is the “Portes du Soleil Tour” which takes in the whole of the area in a day “breakfasting in France and lunching in Switzerland!” Additional activities include a mountain fondue night with sledging back to the resort and nighttime skiddooing.
