Krakatoa is a rider shop in Briancon witch makes part of the Serre Chevalier area in France. In fact there are two shops. One is lying just next to the telecabin of Briancon. In this shop we sell and rent boards and skis. We have a huge choice in boards, skis and boots. We also service and repair boards and skis in this shop. Although the second shop is more specialized in apparel like streetwear, outerwear, backpacks, skateboards and shoes you can still find more then 300 different snowboards and skis for sale.

Apart from those two shops we also have our online shop with over 5000 products available. We ship all over the world.

We distribute two snowboard brands which are pretty hard to get: Swell Panik and Swoard. Swell Panik custom boards are known for there incredible sensations while going off-piste. What is so special about Krakatoa? We would say : ‘knowledge and experience’. We started snowboarding and skiing 30 years ago and we live only a couple of minutes away from a huge and very beautiful ski area called Serre Chevalier. We are really able to test almost all our skis and boards. Our sales arguments don’t come from smooth sales brochures from all the big brands. If we inform you about our products, we tell you about how they really are, not what the magazines say. Our philosophy is : We don’t sell you what you want, we sell you what you need’. And our only goal is: a satisfatied client.
