La Mongie has together with Barèges the biggest ski area in the Pyrenees. La Mongie is a modern apartment village with a very calm nightlife while Barèges is a more traditional Pyrenee village. These are good resorts for families with children or for people who just want to ski. This is the place in the Pyrenees that the most resembles to the Alps.
