Since you cannot fly into Andorra, most visitors either bring their own car or get themselves to Barcelona. From there Andorra-Holidays can organise just about everything and quote you one all-in price for everything you need: airport transfers, ski passes, ski and snowboard hire, hotel or private apartment accommodation, half-board deals, events and innumerable sports and leisure activities.
We have two main centres in Arinsal and Canillo. Arinsal is truly-speaking Andorra's only all-year-round holiday village. Canillo is much more orientated towards skiing and winter sports.
In Arinsal not only do we run our own Aparthotel, the Sant Andreu, which offers very reasonable apartment-only accommodation or excellent-quality half-board deals, but also the area's largest selection of top-quality private residential apartments and chalets.
In recent years, apart from excellent family-orientated skiing at Vallnord (Arinsal, Pal and Arcalís resorts - all on the same pass), Arinsal and La Massana have become the world's leading centres for Mountainbiking, with the World Championships being held at Pal in both May 2008 and scheduled for May 2009. Individual and group hiking holidays on our well-marked mountain trails are also extremely popular and those interested in botany should know that Andorra has Europe's widest range of wild mountain flowers to photograph!
Canillo and other villages in the eastern valley rely for their reputation on the fantastic skiing at GrandValira (incorporating the former Soldeu-El Tarter and Pas de la Casa/Grau Roig stations), which is now by far the largest skiing area in the whole of the Pyrenees. All the ski resorts in Andorra have invested heavily in the latest snow-cannons and snow is assured from early December to late April, even in years with less snow. Andorra currently sells over 2.5m ski days a year and most visitors come back year after year for some of the best, all-round cheapest winter sports holidays available anywhere
Andorra is the oldest political entity in Europe with unchanged borders since 1288, and is now an independent Principality and a full member of the UN. It can trace its independent history right back to the 9thC and its wealth of romanic and small mountain village architecture is spectacular.
Because Andorrans and residents have never paid personal taxes, the standard of living is high, but prices are generally lower for all sorts of items than in other European countries. The huge infrastructure developments in the last few decades have made the country one of the world's tourist most popular tourist destinations with over 11m visitors a year with a range of sports and cultural activities second to none. It is also one of the safest countries in the world. Personal security is extremely highly valued here and the number of tourist misfortunes in any year is ludicrously small, except of course for the occasional skiing collisions!

Hi, We are a family of 3 including 17 yr old. We are interested in mountain-biking (single-track and downhill) and we are thinking of visiting Andorra for a holiday for 1 week during July or August 2010. Please could you send information on holiday prices? Are there gondolas or lifts which will carry bikes up the mountains? And how much is a lift pass?
Thank you! Sam Kite
